Please pray with us for EU students and staff over the summer break!
- Rest – Pray EU community members would use their time to the glory of God over the summer break. Pray for the Lord to provide deep rest and spiritual restoration for another year of study and serving Jesus.
- New believers – Praise God for the (many!) students who have come to faith at Sydney Uni this year through the EU. Pray that they will be firmly planted in Christian communities and that the Lord will continue his powerful work in their lives. Pray that those who have been investigating Jesus this year will continue to investigate Christianity over summer and stay connected to the EU next year.
- Student Leaders – Thank God for raising up faithful students to lead on faculty committees and specialist teams in 2023. Praise God for those who have committed to leading in the EU for the first time in 2024. Ask that God will continue to strengthen these Christian leaders in their faith and witness as they serve him and others.
- Students graduating – Thank God for the many students graduating in 2023 who have been involved with the EU during their studies. Pray that God will provide them with wisdom as they make decisions about life and work after university. Ask for our Heavenly Father’s guidance as they seek to be bold for Jesus in the workforce.
- Launch Day 2024 – Commit the EU’s connecting efforts during Welcome Week and especially at Launch Day next year. Ask that God would be drawing many new first year students into community, sparking fresh interest in the gospel with returning students, and preparing many hearts to know Jesus is Lord in 2024.
- Harvest workers – Pray that the Lord of the harvest will raise up many harvest workers for the mission field from Sydney Uni. Pray that students will be captured by the many gospel needs near them and abroad. Ask that God will grow many students into mature, faithful believers who have hearts for the lost.
- Revival – Pray for revival amongst both Christians and non-Christian students at Sydney Uni. Pray that Christians would grow in their maturity in Christ and be emboldened with new enthusiasm to serve the body of Christ. Ask that many students at Sydney Uni will put their faith in Jesus.
